Manila's Korean community has its own beauty circuit — clinics, salons, and studios that meet Seoul standards. Our guide to where Korean expats actually go.
Manila's Korean expat community — concentrated in BGC, Ortigas, and Quezon City — has developed its own beauty circuit that operates largely below the radar of mainstream Manila beauty media. These are the clinics, salons, and studios that Korean residents trust to meet the standards they're accustomed to from Seoul. This guide is the result of conversations with 15 Korean expats across three districts.
Aesthetic Clinics: Where Korean Expats Go
Luminisce Clinic in BGC is the top recommendation among Korean expats for aesthetic treatments — the Korean-trained physician and glass skin protocols feel familiar. Several Korean-owned clinics along Tomas Morato in QC and in Ortigas offer Korean-language consultations and Seoul-standard protocols at 20–30% below BGC pricing. Skin booster injections (Profhilo, Teosyal) are the most commonly requested treatment among Korean expat clients.
Hair: The Korean Salon Circuit
My Salon in BGC (Korean-owned, appointment-only) is the top hair recommendation among Korean expats. Choi's Salon in Rockwell is the second choice. Both offer Korean-language service and techniques calibrated to Korean hair standards. For QC-based Korean expats, several Korean-owned studios along Katipunan offer comparable quality at lower prices.
Nails and Lash: Korean-Technique Studios
Lash Republic in BGC (Korean mega-volume technique, CIDESCO-certified artists trained in Seoul) is the top lash recommendation. The Nail Company in BGC offers BIAB and Korean nail art techniques. For QC-based expats, several Korean-owned nail studios along Tomas Morato offer Korean gel techniques at ₱800–₱1,500.
Practical Tips for Korean Expats
Korean-language service: Luminisce Clinic, My Salon, Choi's Salon, and most Korean-owned QC studios. Best value: QC Korean clinics (20-30% below BGC). Best for Seoul-standard results: My Salon (hair), Luminisce (aesthetics), Lash Republic (lash). Booking: Instagram DM in Korean is accepted at most Korean-owned studios.
